Rochester Volunteer Fire Company

Established in 1927, the Rochester Volunteer Fire Company is proud to serve the Village of Rochester and surrounding communities with a tradition of excellence, dedication, and volunteer spirit. We are a combination department staffed by volunteers, part-time, and full-time personnel working together to provide critical fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue operations, and public safety education.

Our response area covers over 167 square miles across jurisdictions including Rochester, Waterford, Burlington, Lyons, and Spring Prairie, serving an area population of more than 39,000 residents.

🔥 Community Safety Message

As fire danger increases during warmer, drier conditions, we urge everyone to burn responsibly:

  • Check fire danger levels and burn bans before burning outdoors.
  • Keep a water source nearby at all times.
  • Never leave a fire unattended.
  • Properly dispose of hot ashes and grill coals.
  • If a fire begins to spread, call 911 immediately.

Fire safety is a shared responsibility—thank you for doing your part.
